I am the Head of Engineering at AppLearn. I am an experienced engineering leader, with a proven track record of recruiting, building and leading diverse high performing teams. Since starting out as a graduate, I have gained over 22 years of experience in fast paced technology businesses, and thrive in this environment. I'm proud of my track record of bringing stable and reliable software to market successfully for leading technology organisations including Avecto, ResponseTap and AppLearn. I am a passionate advocate of Agile with a wealth of experience in this area. I firmly believe that success comes from hiring and nurturing talented and passionate individuals and empowering them to deliver, rather than purely focusing on technical skills. I have had great success with this approach in the teams I have managed, and strive to embed a culture of continuous improvement that enables the teams to learn and improve the processes to ensure delivery against the development plan. My technical background is varied. I have hands-on experience with C++ and C# both for web applications and system services with a strong knowledge of security. As a leader, I have managed teams using C++, C#, Java, React, Angular and Python.
